Affiliate Partnership Program

Change lives by referring. Be recognised for it.

Introduce the people around you to a living benefits review with a licensed agent. A fixed thank-you fee per qualified introduction, confirmed in writing before you refer anyone.

You don't need insurance experience. You make the introduction; a licensed agent does everything after that — the needs analysis, the product discussion, the application. Your role is one step long, and it stops before anything that requires a licence.

What referral partners do — and don't do

Referral partners are introducers, not insurance agents. A referral partner is not an agent, representative or employee of Vital Shield Risk Advisory and has no authority to act on its behalf.

Referral partners must not discuss insurance products, describe or compare coverage or benefits, quote or estimate premiums, assess whether a product suits someone, give insurance advice, or help with any application. Your role is to provide a name and contact details, with that person's permission. Everything after that is done by a licensed agent.

Insurance in Canada may only be sold by individuals licensed in the applicable province.

We tell them about the fee

Anyone introduced to us is told in writing, before we arrange any insurance transaction, that a referral fee is payable to the person who introduced them. In British Columbia this is required; we do it everywhere.

We also confirm consent directly with every person introduced to us. See our Privacy Policy.

Affiliate Application

Become a Vital Shield partner

No insurance experience needed — you introduce, a licensed agent takes it from there. Apply in two minutes; every application is reviewed individually and your terms are confirmed in writing before you refer anyone.

We use your details only to set up and administer your partner account. No spam, ever. Read our Privacy Policy.

Why it matters

Every referral is somebody's income protected

You start a conversation people avoid

When you introduce someone to a living benefits review, they get a clear picture of what happens to their income if they can't work — and the option to do something about it. Whether coverage is available depends on the insurer's underwriting, and every policy has its own terms, exclusions and eligibility requirements.

You bring income exposure into the open

A tradesperson off the tools, a business owner recovering from a health event, a contractor between projects — the paycheque stops, the mortgage does not. Your introduction gets that exposure reviewed by a licensed agent instead of left to chance.

Your role is one step long

You provide a name and contact details, with that person's permission. The needs analysis, the product discussion and the application are all handled by a licensed agent.

You are recognised for the introduction

A fixed thank-you fee per qualified introduction, confirmed in writing before you refer anyone. It is identical for every partner and every product, and is never a commission or a share of any commission or premium.

How the program works

From application to introduction

01

Apply in two minutes

Tell us who you are and the people you're around. You don't need insurance experience — your role is the introduction, and it stops there. Every application is reviewed individually.

02

Get approved and briefed

On approval we confirm your terms in writing, including the fixed thank-you fee, and give you a partner reference used only to attribute introductions you've already made.

03

Make a named introduction

With that person's permission, you email or call us with their name and contact details — or they simply mention your name when they get in touch. No public link-sharing and no advertising of insurance.

04

A licensed agent takes it from there

A licensed life and accident & sickness agent runs the review, handles underwriting and, if coverage is available, places it with a Canadian carrier. You receive a clear statement of the introductions you made and their status.

Who partners with us

Who the program is open to

The program is open to individuals and businesses whose work brings them into contact with people whose income isn't protected. Applications are reviewed individually. The program is not open to current or prospective Vital Shield clients in respect of their own coverage, or to anyone whose professional regulator or employer prohibits receiving referral fees.

If you hold a professional licence or designation, please confirm your own regulator permits you to receive referral fees before applying.

  • Business owners and operators
  • Trade contractors, crew leads and site supervisors
  • Consultants, coaches and association leaders
  • Community organisers and content creators
  • Employers and HR leads in high-risk industries
  • Anyone whose work puts them around unprotected income

Named introductions, not public links

We don't hand out public tracked links, and partners don't advertise insurance. With that person's permission, you send us their name and contact details — or they mention your name when they get in touch. Your partner reference is used only to attribute introductions you have already made.

  • — Partner reference issued on approval
  • — Attribution after a consented introduction
  • — Introduction status updates
  • — Clear statements of every introduction you make
